Roger has spent the last 35 years teaching and playing trumpet professionally all over the world.  As a performer, Roger’s experience includes performing as principal trumpet and soloist for the Northwest Indiana Symphony, as well as an ASCAP songwriter and recording artist for Island Records.  As a theater musician, Roger has also toured the United States with the national tour of “Into the Woods” and the European tour of “West Side Story”.  Most recently, Roger has played for the Broadway in Chicago version of “Aladdin”,“Wicked”, “Chorus Line” “Young Frankenstein” Miss Saigon, “Chicago”, “Dreamgirls” and many more..  

Roger attended the American Conservatory of Music, where he studied with performers in the Chicago Symphony, as well as performers from Broadway.  This experience has given Roger a versatile background and has equipped him with a wide range of musical education and styles. With this experience, he uses a well balanced approach to his teaching.  Roger also uses positive motivation in his teaching principles, in order to help students want to learn and excel.
